Wildhaus is a village in the new municipality of Wildhaus-Alt St. Johann in the Wahlkreis (constituency) of Toggenburg in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland. The municipalities of Alt St. Johann and Wildhaus merged into the municipality of Wildhaus-Alt St. Johann on 1 January 2010. The reformer Huldrych Zwingli was born in Wildhaus in 1484. His birth house can still be visited.

Die Gemeinde hatte eine Fläche von 3460 ha und rund 1200 Einwohner. Im Westen des eigentlichen Dorfzentrums liegt der Dorfteil Lisighaus. Die höchste Erhebung in Wildhaus ist der Säntis (2502 m). Mit 9658 hat Wildhaus die höchste Postleitzahl der Schweiz.
