Following Ugly Kid Joe's demise, Crane went on a year-long tour with Life of Agony before forming Medication with ex-Machine Head guitarist, Logan Mader. However, due to a series of issues with the band's record label, Medication disbanded in 2002. Crane now sings for Another Animal, a side project formed by Shannon Larkin, Robbie Merill, and Tony Rombola of Godsmack, as well as former Godsmack/Dropbox guitarist Lee Richards. In 2000, Whitfield contributed vocals to the track Reaching Out from the Lynn Strait tribute album Strait Up. The track though mainly features vocals from Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray. As of 2006, Whitfield lives in Palo Alto, where he was born and raised. In 1994, Whitfield sung with Ice T and Lemmy on "Born to Raise Hell" by Motorhead. He appeared once again with Lemmy and Doro Pesch at The Brixton Academy in 2001 playing the same song. He also sang with Alter Bridge.
