Wang Hongju is a politician of the People's Republic of China. He has been the mayor of Chongqing, one of four provincial-level municipalities in China, since 2003. He currently serves alongside Bo Xilai, who controls the party committee in the municipality.

Ab Oktober 2002 übernahm er zunächst vorläufig die Amtsgeschäfte als Bürgermeister von Chongqing und wurde im Januar 2003 auf dem Volkskongress von Chongqing offiziell bestätigt. Seit 2002 ist er zudem Mitglied im Zentralkomitees der KPCh.
