In 1978, he released a 7" vinyl single of his multivocal talents entitled Blaze Away, performing as Me, Myself and Me again. His talents were utilised by numerous recording artists, and he was employed as a cost-effective horn section on a number of hits, notably by Rolf Harris and the Stock, Aitken and Waterman production team. He later collaborated with Rick Astley, although no material was ever released. A keen basketball player, Viv flirted for some years with the fringes of the Great Britain Olympic squad. Not one of the strapping young men wanted to know. Later on in his career, he lectured on broadcast sound design and audio engineering at Ravensbourne College of Design & Communication.
