Vega is a municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the Helgeland traditional region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Gladstad. Vega was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 The municipality comprises 6,500 islands of the Vega Archipelago. Vega is also the name of the main island within the municipality. Its area is 163 square kilometres (63 sq mi).
