The 2006 festival screened over 300 films from more than 50 countries, nearly a quarter of which were nonfiction. Annual attendance has exceeded 150,000 since 2003. The Festival also manages the Vancouver Film and Television Forum, a four-day conference supporting the Canadian film and television production industry. The Forum takes place immediately prior to the start of the Festival.
