The Uru language was the language of the Uros, an Amerindian tribe. In the year 2000 it has 2 remaining native speakers out of an ethnic group of 100 to 150 people in the La Paz Department, Ingavi Province, near Lake Titicaca in Bolivia. The language is close to the Chipaya language and is joined with it in the Uru-Chipaya language family. The ethnic group uses Spanish now.

Výrazná skupina mluvčích též žije poblíž ústí řeky Desaguadero do jezera v Bolívii. Někdy se též hovoří o jazyku uru, ale není jisté, jestli tento jazyk vůbec existuje, protože kdyby existoval, tak se v literatuře uvádí, že je na pokraji vymření.

En el año 2000, restaban tan sólo dos hablantes nativos, de un grupo étnico de entre cien y ciento cincuenta personas de la Provincia de Ingaví. Esta lengua esta fuertemente relacionada con el chipaya, con el cual conforman la familia Uru-Chipaya. El uru ha sido reemplazado principalmente por el español.
