The name of the church in Dutch is Verenigde Protestantse Kerk in België (VPKB) and in French l'Église Protestante Unie de Belgique (EPUB). The current President of the church is the Reverend Dr Guy Liagre. The offices of the church are at Marsveldstraat or Rue du Champ de Mars in the city centre of Brussels.

Depuis cette date, il reconnaît comme représentant du protestantisme belge le Conseil administratif du Culte protestant et évangélique (CACPE) qui est composé de deux branches : le synode fédéral (qui représente entre autres les églises protestantes évangéliques); la branche EPUB et partenaires. L'EPUB regroupe des communautés dispersées dans tout le pays. Ces paroisses se reconnaissent héritières de ceux qui ont confessé leur foi dans différents textes de référence, depuis le Symbole des Apôtres jusqu’au Catéchisme de Heidelberg en passant par le Symbole de Nicée-Constantinople et la Confessio Belgica de Guy de Brès, et elles inscrivent leur foi dans la tradition des Églises issues de la Réforme du XVI siècle. L'Église Protestante Unie de Belgique se place sous l'autorité des Saintes Écritures, qu'elle reçoit par le Saint-Esprit comme Parole de Dieu, règle suprême de sa foi et de sa vie.
