- Travelcard Zone 1 is the central zone of Transport for London's zonal fare system used for calculating the price of tickets for travel on the London Underground, London Overground, Docklands Light Railway and, since 2007, on National Rail services. For most tickets travel through the zone is charged more expensively than the others. The zone contains all of the central London districts, most of the major tourist attractions, major rail terminals, the whole of the City of London and the West End. It is about 6 miles from west to east and 4 miles from north to south.

Londra è divisa in sei zone (approssimativamente concentriche) che servono a determinare il costo del trasporto sulla Metropolitana di Londra e sulla Docklands Light Railway. La tariffa non è valida invece se si usano anche tram e bus, nel qual caso occorre acquistare ul altro tipo di biglietto. I limiti della Zone 1 corrispondono al percorso della Circle Line e conseguentemente le stazioni comprese sono quelle ubicate nel West End, Holborn, Kensington, Paddington e la City of London. Old Street, Angel, Pimlico, Tower Gateway, Aldgate East e Euston, Vauxhall, Elephant & Castle, Borough, London Bridge, Earl's Court, Marylebone, Edgware Road, Lambeth North e Waterloo sono nella Zone 1 ma non sulla Circle Line. Dal dicembre 2007, quando venne chiusa la East London Line, tutte le linee transitano o terminano nella Zone 1. La zona comprende tutte le principali stazioni delle grandi linee.

Den dekker dermed West End, Holborn, Kensington, Paddington og City of London. De fleste stasjonene ligger nærmere hverandre enn det som er tilfelle i sonene som ligger lenger ut fra sentrum; for eksempel er det bare omkring 200 meter mellom Leicester Square undergrunnsstasjon og Covent Garden undergrunnsstasjon. Sonen dekker de fleste viktige turistattraksjoner, og mange tilreisende beveger seg derfor nesten utelukkende innenfor sone 1. Prisen for en reise innenfor sone 1 er pr. 2006 3,00 pund for papirbilletter og 1,50 pund for innehavere av reisekortet Oyster.
