- Touch and Go is the second single of post-punk band Magazine, released on April 14, 1978. By the time, the debut album, Real Life, also was released. Unlike the previous single, Shot By Both Sides, the band recorded this material with the complete five line-up and with the keyboards added to the previous guitar-bass-drums sound, because Dave Formula joined shortly after the release of the first single. However, that was also the last single featuring original drummer Martin Jackson, who left in July 1978, after a british tour, being replaced subsequently by Paul Spencer, who lasted a short time and was replaced by John Doyle. Jackson later joined The Chameleons and Swing Out Sister. The main song, has a promo video, and after its name, the band released a 2 CD compilation, Touch And Go - Anthology - 02.78-06.81, which contains the song and the b-side, "Goldfinger". The latter was a cover of the James Bond film soundtrack. Both songs are featured as bonus tracks on the CD reissue of the first album Real Life.
