The Toronto Argonauts are a professional Canadian football team competing in the East Division of the Canadian Football League. The Toronto, Ontario based team was founded in 1873 and are one of the oldest existing professional sports teams in North America, after the Chicago Cubs (1870) and the Atlanta Braves (1871) of Major League Baseball. They have played their home games at Rogers Centre since the stadium opened in 1989 and prior to that, played in Exhibition Stadium from 1959 to 1988.
