In the late 1990s, Rinks and his partner created the famed Taco Bell chihuahua character which became an instant pop culture phenomenon. In 2003, Rinks' company (Wrench LLC) won a $42 million dollar lawsuit against Taco Bell and its parent company Yum! Brands, with charges that included breach-of contract.
