  • Tiny Dancers were an English band from South Elmsall, West Yorkshire. They are David William Kay (vocals, acoustic guitar), Chris 'Ev' Etherington, Dale 'Dez' Wathey, Duncan 'Zed' Morrison and David Glover (keyboards, glockenspiel, percussion, guitar, noise creation). They all grew up in South Kirkby, South Elmsall and Brierley, three small former pit villages in the West Yorkshire countryside. Based in Sheffield, they have toured almost constantly since signing to Parlophone in early 2006 - supporting acts as diverse as The Spinto Band, Babyshambles, Richard Ashcroft, Larrikin Love, Bob Dylan, recently a co-headlining tour with Ghosts as well as their own headline tour. Their rootsy, country-tinged sound is drawing early comparisons with heroes The Band and has seen them filed separately from the rest of the 'New Yorkshire' scene. Their debut album, entitled Free School Milk, produced by John Leckie of the Stone Roses fame, was released on June 11 2007. The band has split with members planning solo projects. . (en)
