Ronald Timothy Renton, Baron Renton of Mount Harry, PC, is a British Conservative Party politician. He served as a Minister of State in both the Foreign Office and the Home Office, and as a Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury. He was promoted to the Cabinet serving as Margaret Thatcher's Chief Whip between 1989-1990. After Thatcher's resignation in 1990 he remained in the Cabinet serving in John Major's government as Minister for the Arts between 1990–1992.

He lives in Offham near Lewes in East Sussex and has a holiday home on the Hebridean island of Tiree. In 1960 he married Alice Blanche Helen Fergusson. Their five children are Alexander James Torre, Christian Louise, Daniel Charles Antony, (Katherine) Chelsea and Penelope Sally Rosita. Alexander is a journalist for The Guardian.
