The Victorian English Gentlemens Club is a 4 piece cranky indie rock band hailing from Cardiff, Wales. They made their recording debut in early 2006; with the limited-edition "The Tales of Hermit Mark"/"My Son Spell Backwards" released in the spring and double A-side "Amateur Man"/"Ban the Gin" following that summer, the Victorian English Gentlemans Club added to the anti-emo sentiment currently taking their native U.K.

The self-titled debut album was released in Autumn 2006; first single "Impossible Sightings Over Shelton" debuted at number ten on the U.K. Indie Singles Chart its first week out. The bands second full length album is called Love on an Oil Rig. Like the first album, it was recorded with the original line-up of Taylor, Mason and Daman, and is out on 14th September 2009. The first single from it was Parrot, released on Yellow Vinyl.
