Bouchard has toured solo since 2005 and is known for having fairly unpredictable live performances. In 2003, Bouchard toured with David Greenberg, Are-Jay Hoffman and William Haworth. Also, the band Oh No! Oh My! got their name from The Robot Ate Me's song of the same name from the album On Vacation. In 2007 Ryland Bouchard announced that he would no longer release records as The Robot Ate Me and in December 2008 he released Seeds under the name Ryland Bouchard on his label Swim Slowly.
