The Last Dog on Earth is a book written by Daniel Ehrenhaft . It was first published in 2003 by Random House, but then republished by the company Yearling in 2004. The Last Dog on Earth's main focus is about a fourteen year-old boy, Logan, who gets a female dog from a shelter, who he names Jack. At the time, an incurable disease, known as POS (Psychotic Outbreak Syndrome) is spreading. POS makes animals go crazy and attack anything, before they die.
