"Generator" was subsequently named the NME's 16th best song of the year for 2006, their album So, this is Great Britain? was released on October 30 2006 on the TVT label. The band have attracted attention in the media and a live following. NME have also tipped them to be one of the biggest bands around in the future. The band formed in a live-music venue called Nambucca on the Holloway Road in 2004. The members are Alfie Jackson, Mike Baker, Bryn Fowler, and Edwin Harris .On the 23rd of February 2009 the band released a statement on their myspace page stating that due to the fire that destroyed their "spiritual home", Nambucca, along with almost all of their equipment and demos for their upcoming album, both Rob Skipper and Dave Danger had independently decided to leave the band to "pursue new directions". Bryn Fowler and Alfie Jackson are continuing with the band. With new members, Edwin Harris and Mike Baker (Guitar)They have recently started playing again and have a new single and album penciled in for the end of summer 2009. (en)
