Claire is a vocalist and fiddler. As twins the pair are particularly well matched in duets. They both used to sing in the Brooklyn rock band Lowry and are featured on their 2005 album Awful Joy. Most recently, Sarah Bowman toured with Rasputina when Zoë Keating left the band.
