The Beats was a record label run by Mike Skinner and Ted Mayhem alongside a videblog offshoot called Beat Stevie. Artists signed to the label were hip hop duo The Mitchell Brothers, rapper Professor Green, rapper Example and his producer Rusher, and Skinner's own act The Streets. The label was owned by Skinner and, from November 2007, not financed by anyone, after previous financers Warner Music Group closed the deals with all their sub-labels.
