The characters first appeared in cartoons in The New Yorker magazine in the 1930s, and later gained popularity in the defunct Television series, The Addams Family. The film centers on the day to day life of the family, and the return of Gomez Addams's long-lost brother, Fester, played by Christopher Lloyd. The film stars Raúl Juliá and Anjelica Huston.
