TheGoodTourist is a travel guidebook publisher, one of the few publishers focusing entirely on "responsible travel", which for example includes ecotourism, and is part of the wider concepts of sustainable tourism and responsible tourism. The guide books try to help tourists make more responsible choices when they travel, by giving specific advice for a specific destination. The founder, Ann-Britt Sternfeldt, got the idea from the concept of fair trade.

- TheGoodTourist is a travel guidebook publisher, one of the few publishers focusing entirely on "responsible travel", which for example includes ecotourism, and is part of the wider concepts of sustainable tourism and responsible tourism. The guide books try to help tourists make more responsible choices when they travel, by giving specific advice for a specific destination. The founder, Ann-Britt Sternfeldt, got the idea from the concept of fair trade. When she travelled in The Gambia and saw how poor the local people were, and how little the tourist industry seemed to improve their conditions, she decided to write a guidebook that could help tourists to better support local people and their environment. Since 2000 TheGoodTourist has published 10 different books and pocket guides, about The Gambia, Estonia, Poland and Thailand. The guide book about The Gambia has been translated and published in English and the recent E-guide about Thailand is written only in English. The guide books have thus far all been written by Ann-Britt Sternfeldt, with support by Per-Ola Axelsson and Maria Körle. TheGoodTourist changed their production strategy in 2008 and is now only publishing electronic guidebooks (e-guides), all in English. The motto of TheGoodTourist is: Responsibility isn’t about denying ourselves – it´s about doing this differently.
