Together with Ya Kid K (born Manuela Barbara Kamosi Moaso Djogi, 1972, Kinshasa, DR Congo), he produced the hit single "Pump Up the Jam" which was originally an instrumental. An image for the act was later put together utilizing Congolese-born fashion model Felly Kilingi as its album/single cover art and supposed singer in the music video.

De single deed het uitstekend in bijna alle landen van de wereld, en werd nr. 1 in het grootste deel van die landen. Het nummer bleef in de VS steken op nr. 2, zodat Dominique van Soeur Sourire daar de grootste hit van Belgische bodem blijft. In totaal werden van "Pump up the jam" wereldwijd meer dan 3,5 miljoen exemplaren verkocht. Daarna werden nog enkele singles uitgebracht: Get Up!
