Les principales communes sont : Foum Zguid (sont des amazighs et des arabes) -lamhamid ou (m'hamid) -amezrou -smira -ouagrout -bougir -lmahroug Akka Foum Lahcen Tata Elle est entourée par : Assa, Taroudant, Tiznit, Guelmim, Ouarzazate, et les frontières de l'Algérie.
