Tanya Datta (born 16 July 1972) is a British Asian radio and television broadcaster and writer. Tanya was born in London, and grew up in Wood Green. Her mother is a University Lecturer. Tanya studied English at Wadham College Oxford University graduating with a first in 1995. In 1996, she won the Scott Trust Bursary to study journalism at City University and went on to be selected as an ITN News Trainee.
