In einer idealen Fertigungslinie wäre dies der Zeitraum zwischen Fertigstellung zweier Teile. In der Realität muss man die Fertigungslinie auf eine Zykluszeit unter 60 s auslegen, um Kapazitätsschwankungen, Maschinenausfälle, Wartungen, etc. ausgleichen zu können.
