Like the Dutch satellite television provider Canal Digitaal, TV Vlaanderen is owned by Airbridge Investments and Providence Equity Partners. Besides the Dutch-language stations and Nederland 1, Nederland 2 and Nederland 3. TV Vlaanderen also offers a number of specialty channels such as Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, History Channel, Eurosport, ESPN America, E! Entertainment and many more.

TV Vlaanderen is de tegenhanger van het Nederlandse Canal Digitaal en is enkel te abonneren via een Belgisch postadres. TV Vlaanderen en Canal Digitaal zijn in handen van CDS Coöperatieve U.A. , dat gecontroleerd wordt door Airbridge Investments en Providence Equity Partners Inc. Laatstgenoemde heeft daarbij een controlerend meerderheidsbelang. Via TV Vlaanderen worden naast de bekende Vlaamse zenders één, Canvas, VTM en 2BE, VT4, VijfTV en Vitaya ook een aantal themazenders, zoals Discovery Channel en National Geographic Channel doorgegeven.
