TV3 HD is an experimental high-definition broadcast of Catalonia's first public television channel, TV3. It is owned by Televisió de Catalunya (Catalan Television), a subsidiary of the CCRTV. The channel is available only in Barcelona, and broadcasts in MPEG4/H.264 at 1440x1080i 50 Hz using DVB-T. Since the channel is still in trials, few content is available. Broadcasts consist in a self repeating loop of programmes of various genres and using different bitrates (from 7 to 14 Mbit/s).
