- TMDP is a Canadian electronic music duo consisting of Jeffrey Addison and Gavin Rough. Their music is a fusion of House music, Nu-Disco, and Electro House. Rated number 13 in NOW (Canada magazine) 2009 Music Forecast 1, TMDP's 2009 debut effort has been described as a "pristine debut that’s as catchy as it is well crafted."2 TMDP is a part of Toronto's burgeoning electronic music scene 34 and have played with the likes of such international artists as Modeselektor, Crystal Castles, Dragonette, Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker, and A-Trak. TMDP's particular brand of electronic music is recreated live using vintage synthesizers. The duo do not take a conventional approach to recreating their album material and are known for improvised live remixes of original material leading to almost unrecognizable one time compositions. This has become one of TMDP's most unique features as a live electronic group . TMDP is not an acronym or an initialism and has no political associations. The band is currently working on their second album, due out 2010 on Toronto's YYZ Records.
