Sylvia Anderson (née Thamm), born March 25, 1937 (1937-03-25) (age 72), is a British voice artist and film producer, most notable for collaborations with her ex-husband Gerry Anderson. Though co-creator of some of their productions through the 1960s, and co-writer of some episodes, Sylvia's main contribution was the development of realistic characters that viewers could identify with and become involved with.

Oorspronkelijk wilde Gerry Anderson actrice Fenella Fielding vragen voor de rol, maar Sylvia kon hem overtuigen haar de rol te geven. Ze was vooral sterk betrokken bij de creatie van Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. De samenwerking tussen Gerry Anderson en Sylvia Anderson stopte na hun scheiding in 1980, gedurende de productie van het eerste seizoen van Space 1999. Hun huwelijk stond toen al langere tijd onder druk. In 1975 maakte Gerry zijn plannen om te gaan scheiden bekend Hierna verbrak Sylvia al haar connecties met Gerry en zijn productieteam. In tegenstelling tot haar ex-man zoekt Sylvia Anderson liever niet de spotlichten op en blijft op de achtergrond. Wel heeft ze een autobiografie geschreven getiteld Yes M'Lady die vooral haar tijd achter de schermen voor Thunderbirds beschrijft. Haar tweede boek, My Fab Years, staat gepland voor 2007.
