Sud-Ubangi (South Ubangi) is one of the provinces created in the Democratic Republic of Congo by the Constitution of May 2005 which became law on 18 February 2006 and came into effect in February 2009. It lies in the north of the country on the Ubangi River and was formerly part of the province of Équateur. The capital of Sud-Ubangi Province is the town of Gemena. No census has been conducted in the DRC since 1984, and population estimates are unreliable.
