- Stroszek is a post-punk/new wave/shoegaze band from Glasgow, Scotland who have achieved some critical praise. They are composed of Richey James Robertson (voice, synth), Les Willox (guitar, synth, programming), and Doug Daniel (bass, synth). One of the more substantial and interesting bands of Glasgow's thriving post-punk indie scene, with their politically charged lyrics and their period sound recalling many of their influences, their music can be described as atmospheric while aggressively intellectual. They are said to be influenced by Cocteau Twins, Manic Street Preachers, Depeche Mode, The Clash, The Cure, PiL, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Magazine, Killing Joke, Galaxie 500, and Neu. They have so far released two EPs and a live album; Demonstration EP (2007, self-produced), Manufacturing Consent EP (2008, Fire Exit Records), and Live in Stereo (2008, Threads of Sound).
