The group are self-deprecating about their musical abilities and proudly state they had no intention of taking in cultural attractions, being more interested in pursuing sex, soft drugs, alcohol, pornography (which was then relatively difficult to obtain in Britain) and McDonald’s. They show little respect for locals – and receive little back – but are always made welcome in Castellane, Provence. His television work includes writing episodes of Pokémon, co-writing and performing the theme song to Channel 4's Meet Ricky Gervais, and writing and presenting the documentaries The Mystery of Rennes-le-Chateau (July 2006), Becoming a Writer Made Easy (August 2006) and Getting Published Made Easy (August 2006). He has written over forty books, including The Key to The Da Vinci Code (Crombie Jardine, 2005), Tish and Pish: how to be of a speakingness like Stephen Fry (Summersdale, 2005) and How to be a Writer (Summersdale, 2004).
