His first role on T.V. was controversial, as he appeared on Fox's Totally Hidden Video as a wedding guest who had an affair with the bride. The Fox show was rigged and Saltz was hired out of an improv comedy group to appear at the wedding as the suspected guest. Fox pulled the premiere episode once it was leaked that the show was a set-up, although it accidentally aired 2 years later in 1991. Saltz uses his given name Steven Saltzman for his role as Executive Producer, while Steven Saltz is used as his stage name.
