- Steve Berlin ist ein US-amerikanischer Rock-Saxophonist und -Produzent. Berlins Musikkarriere begann Anfang der 1980er Jahre, als er sich den Blasters anschloss. Er blieb nur für kurze Zeit bei der Band, schloss sich dann ebenfalls nur kurzzeitig den Flesh Eaters an und hatte 1982 einen Gastauftritt auf einem Album der Go-Go's. Zusammen mit T-Bone Burnett produzierte Berlin 1983 die EP ... And a Time to Dance' von Los Lobos, bei denen er im Folgejahr festes Mitglied wurde. Neben seiner Arbeit mit Los Lobos engagierte er sich auch als Produzent und Studiomusiker für diverse andere Interpreten, darunter Paul Simon, John Lee Hooker, Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt, Rickie Lee Jones, Faith No More, Leo Kottke, The Replacements, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Crash Test Dummies, Mark Lanegan, Manhattan Transfer, Dave Alvin, Joan Osborne, The Tragically Hip, The Walkabouts, Michelle Shocked, The Smithereens, String Cheese Incident, The Tail Gators und Roomful of Blues.
- Steve Berlin is an American saxophonist, keyboardist and record producer, best known as a member of the rock group Los Lobos and, before that, Top Jimmy and the Rhythm Pigs, The Blasters, and The Flesh Eaters. Berlin is married and lives with his wife and children in Portland, Oregon. In 1986, he also appeared on Paul Simon's landmark album, Graceland. Berlin joined Tuatara as a side project in 1998 on their second album, Trading With The Enemy. As either a session musician or producer, Berlin has worked with the Crash Test Dummies, Backyard Tire Fire, Beat Farmers, John Lee Hooker, The Paladins, Faith No More, Dave Alvin, R.E.M. , The Smithereens, The Replacements, Leo Kottke, Sheryl Crow, The Act, Los Super Seven, Rickie Lee Jones, String Cheese Incident, Alec Ounsworth, Raul Malo, Rick Trevino, Jackie Greene, The Tragically Hip, Great Big Sea and most recently The Bridge of Baltimore.
