Stanford Leonard Luce Jr (19 May 1923 in Boston, Massachusetts — 26 March 2007 in Cincinnati, Ohio), son of Agnes Foote Luce and Stanford L. Luce Sr, Ph.D. in French studies from Yale University, is well known for his work on Louis-Ferdinand Céline and his English translations of Jules Verne books, especially The Kip Brothers which he was the first to translate into English 105 years after the novel was written.
