Spence has a neighbourhood oval, currently in great disrepair. The local shopping centre has a medical centre, butcher, hairdresser, baker, takeaway and Supermarket. Along with a Service Centre including a Petrol Station, Mechanics and Auto Electrics. Another local supermarket is located on Copland drive. Next to it is the Tongan Community Centre, rebuilt in 2007 after being burnt down earlier in the year.
