The College promotes lifelong learning and helps students reach their personal and professional goals. A recent name change has taken effect in late 2006, with the "Technical" being dropped, and now has come to be known as Spartanburg Community College. Dr. Dan Terhune has been the college president since 1996 and he has successfully improved the College. Since 1996 the following buildings have been completed: Central Campus-Health Sciences Building, Student Services Building, and state of the art library. Cherokee County Campus-Business Training, Freightliner Service Center. Duncan, South Carolina-Tyger River Campus. The student enrollment has consistently increased over the past ten years.
