Aufgrund des auch mit Zweitwohnsitzen dicht besiedelten Hinterlandes hat der ehemalige Regionalflughafen heute mit fast 8 Millionen Passagieren/Jahr einen Platz unter den 50 passagierreichsten US-Flughäfen erreicht. Internationale Direktflüge werden nach Kanada (Toronto und Montreal) und mit der Fluggesellschaft Air Berlin nach Deutschland (Düsseldorf) angeboten. Direktflüge an die Westküste der USA und Kanadas sind nicht im Angebot. Jedoch bestehen gute Verbindungen beispielsweise mit Delta Air Lines zum Drehkreuz Atlanta.
