Simon Wing Was a daguerrotypist and camera inventor, as well as American politician who spent most of his life living in the town of Watertown, MA. Born in Albans, Maine, Wing was also an active member of the Socialist Labor Party and was its first nominee for President of the United States. Wing was an active devotee of DeLeonism, and promoted it until his death, although he never again sought elective office. He died at the age 84, at his home in Charlestown, Massachusetts.
