Moses Michael Leviy, better known as Shyne, is a Belizean–American rapper. He is the son of Dean Barrow, the current Prime Minister of Belize. Shyne has denied acknowledging him as his father, due to his father publicly stating that Shyne was "unwanted". His mother is the sister of one of Dean Barrow's longest political colleagues. Little else is known about her.

Bislang sind von ihm zwei Alben erschienen: Shyne im Jahre 2000 und Godfather Buried Alive im Jahre 2004. Allerdings wurden außerdem drei "unreleased" Alben veröffentlicht, bevor Shyne verurteilt wurde. Es sind auch unzählige Mixtapes erhältlich. Shyne sitzt zur Zeit im Clinton Correctional Facility-Gefängnis eine 10-jährige Haftstrafe ab. Er wurde im Jahre 2001 nach einer Schießerei im Club New York verhaftet und wegen fahrlässiger Gefährdung, tätlicher Beleidigung und unerlaubten Waffenbesitzes verurteilt. In den Vorfall waren auch P. Diddy und dessen damalige Freundin Jennifer Lopez verwickelt. Im Juni 2005 wurde Shyne's Antrag auf eine vorzeitige Entlassung vom Gericht abgewiesen. Auf freien Fuß wird er am 6. Oktober 2009 kommen. 2006 konvertierte Shyne im Gefängnis zum Judentum und änderte deswegen seinen Namen „Jamal Barrow“ zu „Moses Michael Leviy“.
