Shifty lernte in den 90er Jahren seinen Freund und Bandkollegen Epic Mazur kennen mit dem er sein erstes Musikprojekt starten wollte. Doch sie setzten das Projekt wegen Drogen auf beiden Seiten in den Sand. Shifty ging ins Gefängnis und Epic nahm weiter Drogen. Nach seinem Gefängnisaufenthalt versuchten die beiden eine neue Band mithilfe von Trouble, DJ AM, Faydoedeelay, JBJ und Rust Epique auf die Beine zu stellen. Sie nannten sich Crazy Town. Nach kurzer Zeit wurde Rust Epique aber von Squirrle ersetzt. Nachdem Crazy Town 2003 auf Eis gelegt wurde, um eine Kreativpause zu machen, stellte Shifty ein neues Projekt auf die Beine. Er veröffentlichte sein Album Happy Love Sick mithilfe von dem Sänger TC und dem englischen DJ Paul Oakenfold. Dieses Album widmente er seinem besten Freund Bernard „Kaos“ Williams, der am 18. März 2003 verstarb. 2008 war er in der auf verschiedenen Sendern der MTV-Gruppe ausgestrahlten Sendung Celebrity Rehab zu sehen, in der mehr oder minder Prominente ihre Drogen- und Alkoholprobleme und deren Behandlung zur Schau stellen.
