The daughter of the 1960s chart-topper, Brian Poole a path in music was inevitable. Poole learnt to read and write music at an early age and formed Alisha's Attic in 1989 with her sister after she had just left school. Her solo album, entitled Hard Time for the Dreamer was released in September 2005 on the Transistor Project record label, and reached the Top 10 of the French and UK iTunes chart. Two songs from that album, "Anyday Now" and "Totally Underwater" were featured on an instore Starbucks album in 2006. Also included on the album were two duets with Jack Savoretti, one being "Hope" that got airplay on BBC Radio Two. On 8 May 2006 Poole released "Lost In You", this was not long after she also co-wrote and sang on Michael Gray's 2006 dance release "Borderline", which peaked at #12 on the UK Singles Chart, #2 on the UK Upfront Club Chart and #3 on the ARIA Club Chart among others. Her next release was "Totally Underwater", an EP which included a remix of "Totally Underwater" by Andy Bradfield and two B-sides - "One Kiss" and "What You Feel Like". In late 2008 she formed the alternative country band, Red Sky July, with Ally McErlaine and Charity Hair (The Alice Band). Poole is currently signed to Gary Barlow's publishing label San Remo, set up with Celia McCamley early in 2008, and is managed by Andy Graham at AGM Music. As a songwriter she has collaborated with Janet Jackson, Massive Attack, Mark Ronson, Bryn Christopher, Michael Gray, Lee Mead, Dave Stewart, Rachel Stevens, Will Young, Atomic Kitten, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Liberty X.
