Presently his work has expanded to other comics books namely the latest series of Sadhu 'Wheel of Destiny' one shot superhero graphic novel 'Vargav' in collaboration with Virgin Comics and UTV Spotboy productions, and the horror graphic novel 'Linger' in collaboration with Virgin comics and Studio 18. He is well-known for the re-telling of hystorical and mythological events - in different scenarios, with various twists and turns. His first work Ramayan 3392 A.D. has been rated highly at various comics sites. He Currently stays in the city of Kolkata,Near jadavpur (Ajaynagar),India. In year 2009, month APRIL Shamik made his comeback in comics Industry with Arkin Comics. He is writing "IRITH" for Arkin Comics. Irith is the first ever Super Soldier team in India. A strong script with fantasy concept is IRITH. He also edited arkin comics' various Titles. Besides this he is also concentrating on film script writing these days. With a colourful life and a broad sense of humour he is truly a gentleman. He was a student of Pathabavan School, Kolkata. passed his high School on 1999.
