The Nolan Sisters' version was initially appeared on their 1980 Making Waves album which reached the top on the Japanese Oricon chart in the following year. In March 1981, it was cut from the album exclusively in Japan and gained commercial success with about 270,000 copies sold. In 1990, Wink recorded the cover version sung in the Japanese lyrics written by Neko Oikawa.
