Sean Godley,, is an Irish-Australian writer and poet. Born in Cavan, he is the son of John Godley, 3rd Baron Kilbracken and his second wife, Susan Heazlewood. He grew up mainly at the family's estate, Killegar House, in Carrigallen, County Leitrim, and was educated mainly in England. His poetry is largely lyrical, influenced by Michael Dransfield and Dylan Thomas, and is concerned predominantly with mortality and monoism.

He is also a recipient of the Leitrim Guardian Literary Award for his short story "Flying the Nest" Sean began an MA in Writing at NUI Galway in September 2006. Sean Godley is known to be a huge fan of the work of Canadian reggae artist Snow, a key influence, alongside copious amounts of herbal relaxants, on much of his early poetry.
