Funds are raised from blue chip investors - global financial institutions, alternative asset management companies, pension funds, family offices and corporates. In March 2001, SEP closed the SEP II Fund at GBP 110 million and in September 2006 closed the SEP III Fund at GBP 160 million, the largest European fund in 2006. Since its inception SEP has backed companies including CSR plc, Cyclacel, Intercytex, Nallatech, Voxar, CamSemi, picoChip and Skyscanner.
