- Schiller is the main project of Christopher von Deylen, a German musician. He has won the ECHO-award (2002) for the Best Dance-Single of the Year . Christopher Von Deylen doesn't provide vocals for any of his compositions, instead he chooses to collaborate with singers from within and outside of Germany. Musicians and vocalists who have worked with von Deylen include: German actor and musician Ben Becker, Irish singer Moya Brennan of the Celtic group Clannad and sister to international new age star Enya, The Biggest Selling Soprano Sarah Brightman, Peter Heppner of the German synth pop band Wolfsheim, miLù,also known as Mila Mar, Xavier Naidoo, Maya Saban, Kim Sanders formerly of Culture Beat, Ana Torroja, lead singer of the Spanish pop group Mecano, Tarja Turunen, former frontwoman of Finnish symphonic power metal group Nightwish, Greek singer Despina Vandi, and Alexander Veljanov of German Darkwave group Deine Lakaien, as well as other electronic-music musicians including Klaus Schulze, Mike Oldfield,Damae of Fragma,Jaël of Swiss band Lunik and others,like Stephenie Coker and Anna Maria Mühe. It has often taken a year or longer for Schiller to release the North American editions of their albums most likely due to having some of the German-language tracks re-recorded in English or contain exclusive or previously unreleased material. European countries, however see Schiller's releases much sooner, usually within a month or so. After the North American release of Life, Christopher Von Deylen stated that he did not wish to continue mixing English translations of the German language tracks. The name of the band is taken from one of von Deylen's heroes, famed German poet Friedrich Schiller.

L'album intitiolatoWeltreise (tedesco per "Viaggio mondiale") è stato ispirato da un viaggio on the road fatto da Deylen in compagnia del padre seguendo un ititnerario da Londra a Pechino durato due mesi. Il quarto album di Schiller si chiama Tag Und Nacht (Giorno e Notte). È stato realizzato in Germania dalla Universal Music nell'autunno del 2005. Il sesto album inedito denominato Sehnsucht (Nostalgia) è stato preannunciato nel dicembre del 2007 e, dalla sua uscita avvenuta il 22 febbraio 2008, ne ha registrato la vendita di oltre 100,000 copie consenstendo all'artista germanico, di ottenere numerose certificazioni.

Singel "Das Glockenspielen" ukazał się w 1998 r. i promował pierwsze dzieło twórców. Płyta Zeitgeist, wydana w 1999 roku, otrzymała status złotej płyty, a jej największe przeboje królowały na wszystkich parkietach dyskotek w Europie. Kolejna płyta Schillera, Weltreise, wydana w 2001 roku, okazała się jeszcze lepsza od poprzedniej, między innymi przez częściowe odejście od transowych klimatów. Sprzedana została w ponad 1 mln egzemplarzy. Zaproszeni goście, Kim Sanders i Peter Heppner, wylansowali takie przeboje jak "Dancing with Loneliness" czy "Dream of You". Po nagraniu płyty Weltreise, Mirko von Schlieffen zdecydował się na odejście z zespołu. Od tej pory Christopher von Deylen, już jako jedyna osoba odpowiedzialna za Schillera, postanowił w roku 2003 wydać nową płytę zatytułowaną Leben. Do udziału w niej zaprosił znanych już z wcześniejszej płyty Kim Sanders i Petera Heppnera, jak również Milu, Velyanova, Maye Saban oraz, znaną z przeboju wykonywanego razem z Andrea Bocelli "Time to say goodbye", Sarah Brightman. Pierwszy singel z tej płyty, "Leben.. I feel you", stał się przebojem rozpoznawanym przez wszystkich w Europie oraz Azji, gdzie Schiller również odnosi znaczne sukcesy. W 2005 roku Christopher Von Deylen wydał kolejną płytę, Tag und Nacht, na której również możemy usłyszeć znane głosy - wystąpili na niej m. in. Moya Brennan czy Thomas D. Singel promujący płytę to "Die Nacht du bist nicht allein". Ponadto przy tworzeniu albumu brał udział również Mike Oldfield, jego gitarę usłyszeć można w utworze Morgentau. Warto w tym miejscu zaznaczyć, iż na płycie Light + Shade Oldfielda, utwór Nightshade, powstał przy współpracy z von Deylenem. Schiller wydał również wersję DVD płyty Leben Leben DVD, zawierającą sam album, a także koncerty, wywiady i zdjęcia. Grupa była ponadto częścią kolektywu Trance Allstars. Schiller dwa razy odwiedził Polskę - w roku 2001 i 2003. Kolejny koncert, zaplanowany w ramach trasy "Tag und Nacht Tour", miał odbyć się 13 stycznia 2007, jednak nie doszedł do skutku.
