In 2007, she was a featured performer at the HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado, and she has been chosen as a "Comic to Watch" by Comedy Central, Backstage Magazine, New York Magazine, and YRB Magazine. In 2011 the Huffington Post named Schaefer one of their Favorite Female Comedians, and she was featured in 2012 in New York Times Magazine.
