St. Paul University (SPU Dumaguete) is a private catholic school in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, Philippines. The college was established in the year 1904 by the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres (SPC) in the Philippines, a Congregation founded in Chartres, France in 1698. On 29 October 1904, seven Sisters of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Paul who were coming from their mission in Vietnam established the first St. Paul's school in the Philippines in Dumaguete, Negros Oriental.
